Verified Reviewer |Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing to...
- Plastic piece found in egg from Tim Hortons drive-thru Thurrock; choking risk to child.
- Refund and explanations requested; no reply yet.
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to formally escalate a serious food safety incident following my visit to Tim Hortons in Thurrock on Sunday.
I ordered food via the drive-thru, and upon returning home, I gave the meal to my 3-year-old daughter. While she was eating, I discovered a piece of plastic embedded in the egg. This is extremely alarming, as it posed a clear choking hazard and potential risk of injury to a young child. As a result, the food was completely inedible.
This incident is unacceptable and raises serious concerns about your food preparation and quality control processes. The fact that a foreign object of this nature made it into a meal, particularly one consumed by a child, is deeply concerning and could have resulted in significant harm.
I also wish to highlight that I submitted a complaint on Sunday immediately after the incident, yet I have received no response to date. This lack of communication only adds to my dissatisfaction and concern.
I have photographic evidence of the foreign object and the food, which I am prepared to provide. I expect this matter to be treated with urgency.
I am requesting:
* A full refund for the order
* A formal explanation as to how this incident occurred
* Confirmation of what actions will be taken to prevent a recurrence
* Appropriate compensation given the seriousness of the situation
Please respond promptly to confirm receipt of this complaint and outline the steps you will take to resolve it. If I do not receive a satisfactory response, I will have no choice but to escalate this matter further.
I look forward to your urgent response.
Yours faithfully,
Pradeep Chamdal

Verified Reviewer |Poor customer service and food not fresh
- Stack Burger was wrong and missing hash browns; burger removed from my hands.
- Patty seemed reheated; fries were cold; training requested.
I am writing to express my serious dissatisfaction with a recent experience at the Watford Tim Hortons. While I have consistently received excellent service at your London and Northampton locations, the service during this particular visit was unacceptable.
My order of a Stack Burger was incorrect, as it was missing the hash browns.
Upon requesting a correction, the manager, Ganesh Dutt and Vikas, suggested I consume the hash browns separately. He then removed the burger from my possession before I had finished eating, stating it needed to be discarded.
Although the order was eventually corrected, the replacement Stack patty appeared to be reheated rather than freshly prepared, and the accompanying fries were cold.
I request the staff member involved will undergo customer service training, specifically addressing respectful interaction with customers and the proper handling of food items. The removal of food from my hands without request was particularly egregious
User's recommendation: Hopefully you dont see the same staff member, who served me poorly with lack of respect and dignity
Breach of contract
- Meatless stack for a Muslim family was served with bacon despite vegan packaging.
- The handling by the manager was criticized; others warned.
:
Absolutely disgusted with Tim Hortons Lakeside. Were a Muslim family and my little sister ordered the meatless stack burger the bag even said vegan but they gave her a burger with bacon inside.
She took a big bite before realizing, then opened it and saw pork.
This is a huge violation of trust, especially for people with religious dietary restrictions.
We spoke to the manager, but the situation was handled terribly.
Shame on you, Tim Hortons. This couldve been a lawsuit at the very least, people need to be warned.

Verified ReviewerBody shaming done by manager
- Allegations of favoritism and nepotism by shift manager Mahesh Babu.
- He gives shifts to friends and roommates who offer him food.
Hello Team,
I have been working in Tim Hortons for the last 4 months in Teesside park Stockton on tees. I have seen lot of favouritism and nepotism from the managers towards the employees.
There is a shift manager Mahesh babu who is giving shifts to the people who is being friendly and offering him drinks and parties and he has hired two girls Rubeena and Samreen who are his room mates and offering him food . He is giving shifts only to the people who know him well not because of the people working very hard. He came to me and asked me to resign as Im too short and dont deserve to work in Tim Hortons.
I have been insulted by him multiple times. Hopefully this may not continue with the next employees who had hired newly and hopefully the seniority may take action against him.
Regards,
Sajida

Verified Reviewer |Resolved: Nice food, terrible customer service
- Third consecutive order wrong: regular cheeseburger instead of plain double cheeseburger.
- Instructions ignored; Uber Eats replies offered no solution.
I received a refund from uber Eats on Tim Hortons behalf. This is apparently a gesture of goodwill and may not be the case in future, so I guess I will refrain from ordering from Tim Hortons from now on.
So far... being ignored
Because of my son's autism and all his related sensory issues, he will only have plain double cheeseburgers so we always specify that in the special instructions box. However, today is the third time we've received regular cheeseburgers with all the ingredients that literally make him retch.
I contacted you through your website the first time it happened but was completely ignored.
The second time, I received a "contact Uber Eats" dismissive reply (by the time I received it, I wasn't even sure which order it was and just gave up on contacting them). Today is the third time it happened. I contacted Uber Eats immediately but only received a template message about how sorry they are because they "aim to partner with merchants who exhibit professionalism". No solution offered whatsoever.
And honestly, I'm frickin furious.
Because someone should take responsibility, and it's Tim Hortons staff that prepare the food. We even put the instructions in capitals now so that they aren't missed. How hard is it to read them? We pay for the food, we pay for the delivery, twice a week every week, and we still never know what we're going to get.
I'm a single mum to my boy and neither one of us are going to eat those burgers. So we threw money in the bin... again.
How is this possible?! I understand that mistakes can be made, and we do order frequently so I guess that makes it more likely that at some point a mistake will take place.
But what is shocking to me is the lack of respect and the absolute worst customer service I've ever experienced. You're just blame shifting and you treat your customers like they're wortless.
Preferred solution: Full refund
User's recommendation: Avoid ordering online

Verified ReviewerDiscrimation in the workplace
- There is discrimination and sexuality jokes by managers at Tim Hortons Chichester, with few hours and long commutes after holidays.
Discrimination in workplace
I have been working with the chichester branch of Tim Hortons wince before it has opened and i am single handedly responsible for over 1000+ 4/5 star reviews with the restaurant and yet i am still treated differently and poorly by the managers. Managers make jokes about me being gay, everybody else in the workplace has free reign of food and drink to enjoy while i have to ask and be declined a lot of the time.
Everybody else is getting enough hours to live on and since i have been back from my holidays i have had next to zero shifts and having to work friday and saturday every week when i have specifically stated tonnes of times i would like to not work saturday as i can not get a ride home for free most times and it takes me around an hour and half instead of the usual 25 it takes me when getting said lift.
I am sick and tired of being treated like dirt in a workplace whos reputation i have built online for them (feel free to count how many reviews contain the name Zak and they are only the ones who remembered my name. I need this issue sorted because this is going against my human rights in the workplace when i was promised this was an inclusive workplace.
